A woman, Anna Ayala, 39, of Las Vegas, was eating a bowl of chili at Wendys Restaurant in San Jose, Calif., on Tuesday, 22nd of March 2005, when she scooped up and bit into a human finger.
Officials said the inch-and-a-half fingertip contained part of a manicured nail. Anna immediately spit it out.
The incident left her ill and distraught. And yes, she did end up vomiting.
All the employees at the San Jose store had all their fingers, and no suppliers of Wendy's ingredients have reported "any hand or finger-related injuries."
The Wendy's restaurant where the incident occurred, and others in the area, continue to see declining sales. Bertini said there are no reports of sales dips at any other Wendy's restaurants around the country.
"It's a taste I have never tasted in my whole life," Ayala said.

The investigation continues.... Whose finger was it? Could this have been a hoax/prank or a way to extort money from Wendy's? |
