During the polygonized video in Riprap, you ask (in the commentary) if Exceed got their footage from the same place as Spaceballs (for State of the Art). I can't answer for Exceed, but at least Spaceballs made their own -- AFAIK one of the girls dancing in SOTA is the daughter of one of the group members' English teacher :-) (And yes, it was traced manually for SOTA, but for Nine Fingers I believe they made some sort of automatic tool.) |

I figured as much, as the nature of the models suggests teens and the nature of the polys in 9 fingers suggests a tool.
It's a dream of mine to duplicate the exact same thing on a 386/16 in 60Hz. (SOTA and 9Fingers are 25Hz.) It is technically possible, but do I have the skill? Time will tell... |

Hmm, technically possible? Oh well, SOTA ran on a 68000, AFAIK, so even though one would need to do the interference etc. oneself it should probably be possible. :-)
I just found http://spaceballs.planet-d.net/dancer.html out there, BTW... =) |
