hello!

in the commentary for the demo by noice you mention a picture that you think look like björk, but it's not.. it's a picture that flood/noice took with a camera on a girl in his class.. *trivia*

thanks for a great dvd, qualitywise and demowise. the only drawback i can see is that the spacepigs and cascada-demo on the oldskool-section is running way too long. other than that.. it's very nice.. yeah, one more thing, you should have added some more notes to the demos in the booklet.. like what was popular during the time that the demo was released.. music, games, clothes.. etc.. it makes people who's outside the scene (or the newcomers) easier to understand the evolution of it.

overall, it made me inspired to make some demo.. maybe.. in.. the future.. Smile

And believe it or not, they had more than half their content removed. Cronologia, Megademo, and Amnesia were over 20 minutes long; Unreal was very long but the whole thing made it in because I couldn't find any redundant material to remove.

is it only me who thinks the beginning of amnesia looks like the beginning of a pornomovie? made me and a friend laughing while watching it.. *no offence* .. maybe it was intentional... Wink

Well, I'm not sure it looks like one (it's just a title, some lines, and a scroller), but now that I think about it, the beginning does SOUND like a porno, doesn't it? Oh well, could be a lucrative career path for Kenny. Very Happy

yeah, the music is one contributing factor.. but that pink font does it even more like a pornoproduction. i mean, the beginning, that intro they use before the great movieproduction starts..

and the name 'amnesia' without thinking of the meaning of that word makes me think of it as a girlname.. ending with -a and such.

i associate big and pink fonts with beginnings of pornomovies.. maybe after seeing some Exclamation, and all those nice webpages with black background and pink text.. .. but i'm from sweden, maybe it's just that. Rolling Eyes

Very Happy

Well... yes. But I wanted to preserve the oldskool feeling of the demo.

haha, stridell Very Happy .. there's a great part in the demo where you have that nazi-like logo and show pictures of the members, and the picture of you in that 80's-like haircut is just outstanding!

that part should have been running for 20 minutes.. atleast.

I was always a fan of the "trick" in the late 80's/early 90's to give everyone "cool" sunglasses by coloring everyone's lenses black Laughing

Where is Yoghurt? Smile

Jeff, you should have gotten your DVD today. Wink

Zodiak, I never wrote to you (well, I sent you a postcard) but Cronologia actually turned me from a demo watcher to a scener. Smile I wish that I had written you after I saw it for the first time (it was at the beginning of 92).

After all those years, I just wanted to let you know that Cascada had a great impact on me. Laughing

Erik: Hear hear! (Thanks for Cronologia btw.. if it wasn't for that demo, I might not have gotten so involved with the scene as I did.. :) :D
