I can almost here it now. Someone, somewhere, calling me a "sick son-of-a-bitch." But please here me out before jumping to quick conclusions. About fifteen years my grandmother, sister and I often went to Burger King for lunch. I always ordered the same thing--a hamburger with mayo only. I have no idea how I got hooked on mayo but those flame broiled burgers seemed to taste better this way. The only problem about "having it your way" was the wait for the special order. Everyone always got pissed off because my hamburger had to be specially made and we'd often be in the drive thru for an extra couple minutes waiting without patience. I don't know if I ever got hamburger with any special sauce besides mayonnaise--I don't recall any strange tasting burger. These days I get a regular burger. No use taking any chances.

You think that's weird, I have a friend who's vegetarian and we often go to fast food places. Her order often consists of something like "A number 3 with no meat." She eats everything else -- bun, produce, mayo, etc. Curiously enough, many fast food joints seem to have a button for this on their registers. The receipt actually says "NO MEAT". |
