Hi,

I'm actually searching for a decent genlock. I know you have been looking around a while about it for "Volume2 : Amiga demos". So i believe you have the insight and knowledge to help me here.

My point is to do some video acquisitions. I've been trying a bit with my acquisition card, out of a composite connection, and off course the resulting quality was kinda poor.

That's why i'm looking for a genlock : to have the benefit of a DB23 RGB => S-video connection. I know you guys have been looking for a SuperGen SX some time ago, for it fit your needs. I don't know if you could eventually find one, but personaly i couldn't despite of my efforts Sad

But i've actually found 2 models that may be woth buying. I was thinking maybe you could tell me what you think 'bout them :

- A Neriki Image Master (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/nerikiimage.html)

- A GVP Glock (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/glock.html)

Both appear to be s-video capable, but do you have any clue about their video quality ?

Thanks,

Tom.

I'm afraid we abandoned genlocks due to their scarcity (as you found out) and also due to lack of output options. We eventually found some great deals on professional scan converters (a Sony DSC-1024G and an RGB Spectrum VideoLink 16050x). The Sony is proving a bit disappointing, so it looks like the RGB is going to get the bulk of the job. However, my NTSC amigas faked-to-output-PAL-refresh-rates are causing a dropped field once every 3 seconds, so we're waiting on the delivery of a real PAL A500 to see if that helps (it is driven by a different crystal osc. frequency).
