This CD features a lot of the best known classic Commodore-64 game-tunes, all re-made and re-arranged with new studio-equipment. This CD is well produced and features many of the most famous songs by Rob Hubbard, Martin Galway, Ben Dalglish, Chris Hülsbeck and others.

On many of the songs the original composers (especially Rob Hubbard and Chris Hülsbeck) were actively involved with re-arranging and re-producing their songs. Some of the songs featured are Delta, Rambo, Sanxion, Thing on a Spring, Auf Wiedersehen Monty, Parallax, Wizball, and many others.

At least an CD with some of the best C-64 tunes ever made during the era. Though there exists dozen more good C-64 tunes that still waits to be re-produced. Most of the tracks on this CD is very good but there is one track I cannot stand, "Thing on a spring". It might be a good game but it sure isn´t good music. The best tunes are still Mutants, Ocean Loading Theme, Over the top, Arkanoid and of course Monty on the Run as well as Sanxion. I have to admit though that often the original sid-file sounds more powerful and the instruments on the CD can be a little soft from time to time or too lowsounded compared with the original sid. This is still a very good CD which I can warmly recommend if you liked the original Sid music pieces.

I had a Commodore 128 back when the games these tunes were HOT. Well, some of them anyways. The game music on this CD has been enhanced enough so it doesn't sound so one dimensional. If you sit back and compare the original SIDS to what you hear on this CD you WILL be impressed--the original musical quality still exist but in a cleaner and deeper environment. I couldn't give this CD 5 stars due to the lackluster art and the fact that a couple better tunes could have been chosen to represent the C-64 scene rather then loading the CD with "known" composers.
