|

I update the memberlist today, deleting like 400 users. Hopefully I didn't accidently delete any valid user accounts. Sorry if I did.
This brings our memberlist way down to about 48! Not much. So, looks like we had about 90% spammers registered.
Hopefully we can keep the bad accounts down in the future by keeping the site upgraded and making it harder for the bots to register.

I upgraded the BBS to vers .21 and now have two spam deterrents on the board. Hopefully these will keep the SPAM bots from registering and posting.

Well, Looks like the new SPAM mod didn't help regarding SPAM registration bots. They got through Three today.
But at least they didn't post!

I added another SPAM bot mod. Lets hope this one helps and blocks out the spammers.
Most of the time we are getting users registering and only a few with valid accounts being able to post. I'm hoping to stop the SPAM bots from registering. |
